#############_Very_Magical_1972_"Winterland"_GRATEFUL DEAD Show

***** A "MUST HAVE" Show *****

........It's a "PIGPEN & KEITH Show at Winterland".......Thank you!

I highly recommend adding this show to your 1972 GRATEFUL DEAD collection. Get it while you can, get it while it's free, get it now or you surely will be sorry.

I recommend using your equalizer for listening to almost all of the "Live" performances available on the IA. This show included.

I give it 4.75 Stars for the mix
I give it 4.50 Stars for the recording
I give it 5.00 Stars for being a "Winterland Show" with Pigpen and Keith, I love those shows.

The "description" lists more songs than what's in the playlist, and the playlist includes one song out of order:

The download Playlist is as follows:

01. Tennessee Jed
02. Jack Straw
03. China Cat Sunflower
04. I Know You Rider
05. Mexicali Blues
06. You Win Again
07. El Paso
08. Casey Jones
09. Not Fade Away
10. Good Lovin' <----- (Out of order)
11. Goin Down the Road Feelin' Bad
12. Not Fade Away
13. One More Saturday Night

Good Lovin' is in the wrong order in the download playlist. It's correctly listed in the "description" so WATCH OUT when compiling songs for playback and/or burning, put them in the correct order:

01. Tennessee Jed - 6:53
02. Jack Straw - 4:59
03. China Cat Sunflower - 5:44
04. I Know You Rider - 5:01
05. Mexicali Blues - 4:29
06. You Win Again - 3:52 <--- Pigpen's on Organ, Keith's on Piano <---Wow!
07. El Paso - 4:22
08. Casey Jones - 6:12 <--- Pigpen and Keith <---Wow!
09. Good Lovin' - 16:38 <--- Magical performance, Pigpen's phrasing is incredible. He uses his voice like an instrument.
10. Not Fade Away - 3:18
11. Goin Down the Road Feelin' Bad - 6:57
12. Not Fade Away - 3:39 (Bobby and Pigpen)
13. One More Saturday Night - 4:36 (Encore)

Billy's hot tonight, he's relaxed, his one handed 16th notes fly off his right-hand effortlessly like light from the Sun. He's superb.

This is my Christmas present to myself this year.
Don't think I couldn't afford anything better, I can. But some things are more valuable than money, this show is one of those things. When I listen to this show it brings back memories.

To those people responsible for putting this show on the Internet Archive for all of us to enjoy, I just want to wish you the most Merriest of Christmas' and all the blessings of a Happy New Year. I love you guys. I think I can say we all do. You've greatly improved the quality of our lives, I just wanted to put it in writing for the record.

This is all we have of the GRATEFUL DEAD at Winterland and it means a lot to us to have these shows to listen to. God bless you, you've enriched our lives.

Eat, Drink, Be Merry, and Listen to the GRATEFUL DEAD.

Thanks for all your love, every one of us appreciates it.

'MERRY CHRISTMAS" everyone!
